Great beautiful old school hotel, complete with gated elevator door you have to open yourself. They don't make 'em like this anymore! Easy check in, polite friendly staff, even got the bartender to serve a couple of beers for the room after closing. Simple rooms, nothing fancy, but the building is full of history and charm. Great price (make reservations directly on their site , cheaper than any of the apps), great location.

Was so cool to stay in a quirky old fashioned building. The pub in the basement is really cool. Affordable spot if you want to get into the old historic DC atmosphere. The neighborhood is really cool to walk around and see all the embassy’s. I want to go back in the fall.

Stay here 3 nights. The hotel is good located, to a "walking" distance to all of the point of interest, and also the subway. So, okay, the room are quite old, but mine at least was renovated and in pretty good shape. For the price, it defenitely worst it.

Great location, close to main attractions in very nice area of city! The service could be better, but you are getting for the price you pay 💰

I really enjoyed this stay. Front desk manager was very kind and was very responsive when I reported a problem with my reservation. (Since I booked through Expedia💔). They fixed my problem within 15 minutes!!!! Staff was soooo nice. The Hotel is an average hotel but this place is definitely worth staying in! The hotel also provides with a list of activities, food and transportation in every room. Additional, there is a tavern downstairs and everyone who stays here gets 15% off. Hotel was a steal, especially for the location.

I had a pleasant stay at the Baron hotel. The location was excellent with easy access to many attractions , restaurants and public transportation in Washington dc. The staff were professional and always willing to help.The room was clean, comfortable and provided everything needed for a relaxing stay. The hotel offers good value for money. I would, gladly stay here again.

I wanted an inexpensive hotel in a convenient location. This worked out perfectly. It wasn't fancy, but it was comfortable and clean. They had coffee and ice water in the lobby at all times. And a great shower. They kindly stored my luggage …
